Our unwavering passion for craftsmanship has led to pioneering patented technologies and cumulative sales of 10 million projectors worldwide.
Going forward, we will continue to refine our technological capabilities and provide value through one-stop solutions, from visual production to operation support and maintenance- always staying close to our customers' needs.

The launch of our new sub-brand, MEVIX, in June 2025, symbolizes our move to the future. The “X” symbol extends in all directions, representing the projection of images and the expansion into the future. It conveys that “We will innovate with our solid video technology, and spread the joy of shared emotions around the world by co-creating with people with whom we have a relationship of deep trust, creating unprecedented connections.”

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. launched its first CRT projector, TH-6000.
1978
Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. made its first overseas shipment of video projectors to the United States.
1989
Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. released its first LCD projector.
1996
Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. launched its first in-house developed 3LCD projector, TH-L390.
Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. launched its first professional plasma display, TH-26PD1.
1999
Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. launched its first DLP projector, TH-D9500.
2007
Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. launched the then world’s largest 103-inch plasma display, TH-103PF.
2008
The company name was changed from Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. to Panasonic Corporation.
2009
Panasonic Corporation acquired Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. as a subsidiary.
Panasonic Corporation launched its first professional LCD display, LF20 series.

Panasonic and Sanyo Electric completely integrated their projector and professional display businesses,

Panasonic Connect Co., Ltd. established the Media Entertainment Business Division.
