- Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. launched its first in-house developed 3LCD projector, TH-L390.
Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. launched its first professional plasma display, TH-26PD1. - 1999
- Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. launched its first DLP projector, TH-D9500.
- 2007
- Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. launched the then world’s largest 103-inch plasma display, TH-103PF.

- The company name was changed from Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. to Panasonic Corporation.
